Vending machines in Atlanta: free installation for offices, gyms, and apartments
Atlanta's diverse commercial landscape — offices, apartments, gyms, distribution hubs — makes it one of the strongest markets anywhere for on-site vending.
Why Atlanta businesses are adding on-site vending
People are busy and traffic is real — leaving the building for a snack or drink isn't always practical.
- 24/7 amenity with no staffing required
- Fewer off-property breaks, better productivity
- A competitive edge on property listings and tours
- Zero cost to implement
Where we install across metro Atlanta
Atlanta's urban core — Buckhead, Midtown, Downtown — plus Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, Marietta, and Mableton.
The same team that does the Site Survey handles the install and the ongoing service, so a property in Midtown and one in Marietta get the same process. If you manage property inside the city limits, our Atlanta service page covers the neighborhoods we visit most, and the full list of communities is on the service areas page.
What it costs (spoiler: nothing)
We provide the machine, install it, stock it, and repair it — all at no charge. Revenue comes from what people buy, which keeps our incentive aligned with keeping the machine full and working.
There is no installation fee, no delivery charge, no monthly service charge and no sales minimum. Placement terms are flexible, and the Site Survey requires nothing to sign.
What free installation actually covers
"Free installation" can mean very different things depending on who says it. Some offers stop at dropping a machine off at the loading dock. With Southeast Vending, installation is the start of a full-service placement, and every part of it is on us:
- Delivery: we bring the machine to your property and move it inside to the spot we agreed on
- Placement: we position and level the machine, leaving room for the door to open and for people to line up without blocking a hallway
- Power hookup: we plug in to your existing outlet and confirm the machine powers up, cools (for refrigerated units) and takes payment
- Initial stock: the machine is filled on install day with a product mix built for your location, and we buy and own that inventory
- Cashless setup: card, mobile wallet and cash acceptance are tested before we leave
- Ongoing service: restocking, cleaning, product changes, repairs and refunds for as long as the machine is there
That last item is the one that matters most over time. A machine that arrives free but sits half-empty or broken is not much of an amenity. Our post on what happens when a vending machine breaks down explains how service calls, remote monitoring and refunds work after the install.
What your property provides
The host side of the arrangement is short. You provide three things:
- An outlet: a standard 110-volt outlet near the spot, ideally a dedicated 20-amp circuit, which we confirm during the Site Survey
- Floor space: a level area in a break room, lobby, fitness area, clubhouse or common hallway, with room in front for people to use the machine
- Access: a way for our team to get in for install day and for restocking visits, whether that is a front desk check-in, a door code or a contact on site
You do not need to buy anything, sign up for card processing, keep cash on hand for refunds or assign staff to watch the machine. We also check the path from the parking lot to the spot during the survey: doorway widths, elevators, tight corners and any steps. That way install day does not stall at a doorway that turns out to be too narrow.
Install day: from Site Survey to first restock
Here is how a typical Atlanta installation runs, from the first request to the first restocking visit:
- Request: you send the form with your property type and zip code, and we reach out within one business day
- Site Survey: we walk the property with you, look at foot traffic and possible spots, check power and the delivery path, and ask who will be using the machine
- Plan: we recommend a machine type (snack, drink, combo or refrigerated), a location and a starting product mix
- Install: most installations schedule within days to a couple of weeks of the survey, and we coordinate the time with whoever manages access to the building
- Stocking and testing: on install day the machine is placed, filled and tested for payment before we leave
- First restock: after the first stretch of sales, we restock and adjust the mix based on what actually sold, then set a restocking rhythm around real sales data
The first few weeks are when the product mix changes most. Items that do not move get swapped for ones that do, and you can ask for specific products at any point.
Product mixes by Atlanta property type
- Offices: snacks, drinks, coffee
- Gyms: protein bars, recovery drinks, electrolytes
- Apartments: snack favorites and household essentials
- Warehouses: hearty snacks and energy drinks
- Hotels: travel essentials and late-night items
Where machines fit by property type
The product mix is only half of it. Where the machine goes inside the building decides how much it gets used.
- Offices: the break room or kitchen is the default, but a spot near the elevators or a main hallway can work better on floors where people rarely pass the break room. See our guide to vending machines for Georgia office buildings.
- Gyms: near the front desk or the exit, where members pass on the way out after a workout. More in vending for gyms and fitness centers.
- Apartments: the clubhouse, mail room, laundry room or fitness center, ideally somewhere residents can reach at any hour. See vending for Atlanta apartment buildings.
- Warehouses: the break area closest to the floor, so a shift worker on a short break does not lose half of it walking. More in vending for warehouses and distribution centers.
If you are not sure which spot is best, that is what the Site Survey is for. Our post on what makes a vending location ideal covers what we look for.
How free installation differs from buying or leasing
If you buy a machine, the purchase is only the first cost. You also buy the product, restock it, handle refunds and pay for repairs. A lease replaces the purchase price with a monthly payment, but the work stays with you. With free installation, we own the machine and the inventory and do all of the work, and you host it.
Buying makes sense if you want to run a vending business yourself. For a property that wants the amenity without the work, free placement is usually the better fit. Our guide on how to get a free vending machine in Georgia has a side-by-side comparison of buying, leasing and free placement, plus red flags to watch for in no-cost offers.
